Joseph M. Weiler
Joe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Economics from the University of Nebraska. He received his law degree in 1986 from Washburn University School of Law, where he was President of the Moot Court Council. He has been an adjunct professor at Washburn University Law School and was named Adjunct Professor of the Year in 1998. Joe has served as the Secretary of the Conference of Freight Counsel and is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association, the Kansas Bar Association and the Topeka Bar Association. He, also, is a member of the Topeka Area Bankruptcy Council and the Topeka Bar Association Family Law Committee.
Joe is licensed to practice before the state and federal courts in Kansas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He practices in the areas of motor carrier and transportation law, business law, bankruptcy, freight claims, family law, including Divorce, Paternity, Custody and Support issues. Joe also regularly assists clients with estate planning including drafting of wills, powers of attorney and trust documents.
Joe’s transportation law experience includes representation of various transportation entities in areas including formation, contract review, safety regulations and litigation of freight claims and other transportation related issues.
BANKRUPTCY: We are a federally designated Debt Relief Agency under the United States Bankruptcy Laws. We assist people with finding solutions to their debt problems, including, where appropriate, assisting them with the filing of petitions for relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
